Meets on Zoom at 7pm on Wednesdays. Dates for January cohort:
• January 7th, 14th, 21th, 28th at 7pm EST
This four-week live online group class focuses on building real, usable sight-singing skills to help you feel confident in rehearsals, lessons, auditions, and choir settings.
If you’ve ever wished you could look at a melody and actually know how it sounds before you sing it, this course is for you.
Through clear demonstrations, guided practice, solfege work, and short reading drills, you’ll learn how to understand the rhythm and pitch patterns on the page and turn them into accurate, musical singing.
Break down rhythms and count them with confidence
Identify and sing notes on the staff using solfege
Hear intervals before you sing them
Quickly locate do in any key
Combine rhythm and pitch to read short melodies accurately
Develop sight-singing strategies you can use for life
By the end of the four weeks, you’ll be able to sight-read simple melodies on your own and you’ll finally feel comfortable using written music instead of guessing.
This course is welcoming to beginners and to singers who want to strengthen their musicianship in a friendly, supportive environment.
Meets on Zoom at 7pm on Tuesdays. Dates for January cohort:
• January 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th at 7pm EST
This is a four-week live online group class designed to give developing singers a strong foundation in reading and interpreting written music.
Through clear explanations and guided score study, students learn how rhythm, pitch, key signatures, dynamics, and musical symbols function on the page, and how to use that information to approach new repertoire with confidence and independence.
This course focuses on musical literacy, not sight-reading performance. Students gain the tools to understand what composers communicate through notation, recognize structural patterns, and make informed interpretive choices that enhance their singing.
Whether you sing in choirs, study privately, or simply want to become a more empowered musician, this course offers essential skills that elevate your artistry and deepen your musical understanding.
